We have heard your cries and read your emails and we would like to offer you an even larger size to fulfil your Vietnamese coffee addiction with an XL (300ml) Phin Filter.
For those of you that are after a traditional way to make Vietnamese coffee or just want an alternative brewing method for coffee that is quick, easy, and doesn't require much clean-up afterward, the Phin filter is your perfect match.
- No paper filter needed
- Stainless steel
- Ready in under 10 minutes
- Made in Vietnam
We recommend adding 4-5 tablespoons of coffee into the filter, pour a small amount of hot water into the chamber, and wait about 15 seconds for the water to soak the coffee before filling the chamber entirely. Place the lid on top and let it drip.

I was not too sure what to expect when I ordered the Phin Filter to add to my growing number of brewing contraptions. I have been pleasantly surprised by the strength and flavour of the coffees that I have had so far. I am still experimenting with different grinds, but I have yet to produce a cup that I did not enjoy. At first I was a bit taken aback by the amount of coffee grounds that are stirred up by the act of pouring the hot water, but it does not detract from the end result and I found that if I place an egg ring on top of the top filter, there are far less grounds stirred up ( see pic ).
Overall this Stainless Steel Phin Filter will outlive me, and I am happy with my purchase.
